Here we are with our friend Bob, who visited for a week from Tor. onto. This is in front of our Residenza as he left for England. Then Omri and I set off for Reggio Emilia, by train...
Above, Omri and I at lunch in a Domenican monastery turned into an alternative cafe and arts spot in Reggio Emilia which is about 40 min. by train from Bologna. We ate the primo piato which was tagliatelle and (veal) meat sauce-- the specialty of this region.
Here are some photos of this very lovely town Reggio Emilia:
In this wonderful huge park, 16th C. lions. Then at the market in the town square
Omri took this art shot of an apt. bldg. he liked -- covered with mosaic tiles
This old bldg is the equivalent of the Dept. of Labour in the town.
We took a bus to the end of the line, to the univ. way out in the country and wandered about. There were vineyards and churches and we could see the Appennines, some with snow.
